While doing the WPX-SSB Heiko, DG1BHA, was also there to do some antenna work. Weather was fine and he had already done a bit of work the days before, i.e. mounting a cable tray along the big chimney so we can secure all the 7/8″ hardline going up the “tower” in a much safer way than just using Scotch tape. 😉
Besides this we took down the EME array, too. The home brew boom-to-mast plates were broken and the next storm would have taken down the array anyway, we sure wanted to avoid that! So motivation is high to rebuild it now and get four antennas up again instead of just two. 😉
