Spent a little time in WPX-RTTY last weekend. Uwe, DL3BQA, was going for a serious effort on 20 m thus I could only do 15 m during the day as the 40 m antenna is too close and giving interference even using good bandpass filters. Therefor only a few QSOs on 80/40 m after 20 had closed and Uwe went home to catch some sleep. 80 was fun with good rates as long as I was running, had a nice “fresh meat” pileup. 😎 15 m at least provided some rare DX into the US Saturday afternoon – not expected with current solar condx. Sunday morning even brought a handful of JAs into the log and some more North America in the afternoon again but propagation was not extending very far westwards. Had the feeling activity was rather low but might as well just have been the condx. Definitely not comparable to my results from Aruba last year, this time really boring, but glad to provide a few points to the BCC club result. 😉
